NP Hacker: DIY USB Emergency Charger with high 90% efficiency

In this tutorial we take some old rechargeable Li-Ion batteries and make a homemade USB emergency charger out of them. For converting the 3-4 volts from the batteries to 5v required by the USB-charging we'll use the LiPower boost converter from Sparkfun.
